My new book is named "The Giorgioni Legend," which covers 90 years in Texas. It has a wonderful stock of historical facts intertwined with the story. If you like Texas, you will like this book.  It is a tale of action and romance loaded with historical data along the story line.  For more information, go to waynesands2@gmail.com.  I am legally blind and use Zoom Text to enlarge my print and do not ask my assistants to routinely search my email for typos.
I can say this about historical novels and that is that google and wikipedia are priceless looking up facts. While my secretary is typing my dictation, I can also ask her to look up historical data and put it into the story.

Boot Camp Bridge will make you a prize slam winner

"Boot Camp Bridge" will make an expert slam bidder whether it be kitchen bridge or duplicate. This marvelous work will demonstrate to you in straight forward terms on how to us bridge conventions.
Here are some of the conventions described in my book on slams:
1. Jacoby 2NT
2. Roman Key Card Blackwood 1430  (RKC 1430)
3. Puppet Staman after a 2NT opener or after a 2C and then a 2NT opener.
4. You will learn about the Losing Trick Count, known as LTC and the marvelous "Q" which will be bound in no other slam book.
5. Rosencranz Controls, a key to slam bidding devised by the Great George Rosencranz of Mexico Citpy.
6. The Super Gerber convention devised by the  late Dallas Aces star, Bobbie Goldman.
I could go on and on and on about this outstanding book on slams which has been favorably reviewed by the American Bridge Teachers Association, the ACBL and the Editor of the newspaper of district 17.

I am a retired physician in Psychiatry. My two interests (besides my nice wife) are writing novels and playing duplicate bridge at our Scottsdale Club. I have published two books (all available from me). One is entitled "TC Thornfyre" which is a story of a flawed physician and scientist who wins the Nobel Award. You will like him despite his flaws. His wife Myko is an MIT graduate and a real knockout person. The last scene equals the chase sequence in the movie, "The French Connection.."
This book has been favorably reviewed by Propaganda Films and is available by emailing me at AOL. My email: waynesands2@gmail.com I  have written a slam bidding book which has been highly reviewed by the American Bridge Teachers Association (ABTA), and by the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL). This book has a story accompanying every important slam convention known. It has an indexpage which can be used at the bridge table at home. One of my friends who purchased the book said that he reads a page or so of this every night before going to sleep. This can also be purchased from me at my email address as noted above. The books are priced at 19.95 which includes shipping. At the present time I am finishing a 400 page novel entitled "The Giorgioni Legend." It is a novel of action and romance and is chock full of interesting historical data as the Giorgioni Family immigrates to the United States in 1852, the story ending in 1942. This book is now being proof read and edited and should be published by June 4, 2013. Incidentally, I am legally blind but can see 70% and have wonderful magnification tools like Zoom Text to keep me computer literate. I usually have my wife or secretaries correct my typos but sometimes not.
Thank you so much for reading my blog. Have a good day and lots of luck in whatever you love to do.Wayne Sands, MD of Arizona
